we've definitely hit the "reach" milestone

happy belated Easter and birthday (Julie)!

cara enjoyed her first easter as a born individual. last year she was in utero, and prob enjoyed all the yummy food i digested. i am gonna attach some great photos from the holiday and a little video of cara gouging her dad's eyes out.

someone's ticklish..

happy day after st. patrick's day. i don't really do anything special for that holiday, but apparently it's a big deal. hope everyone enjoyed there's. carebear is feeling A LOT better! not much else is new. we're excited for Easter cause the Easter bunny most likely bought her a couple of new toys for car rides, and she prob can't wait to see what they are..lol. i'm carrying on the Gale family tradition of hiding baskets Easter morning, and even though cara will have no clue what's going on, i think she's gonna love the hunt! well i made a little video today during cara's afternoon nap. i have a slight obsession with how cute her feet are, especially when she wiggles her toes. enjoy!

ah choo..

Cara has her first illness! Took her to Scottish Rite yesterday and they did a flu test that came back positive :( Her fever got pretty high, but she was still smiles. She's a good sport. She's got a slight cough and it's so stinkin' cute. She'll do these little smiles afterwards. Maybe I can catch it on video..we'll see.

She's 5 MONTHS today. Unbelievable.

Well I'll give her everyone's love, hopefully she'll be feeling better soon.

new toys are fun!

I thought when I had Cara that I would be obsessed with buying clothes, which I kinda am but what's totally unexpected is that I'm completely obsessed with buying her new toys. If you ever go to Babies R' Us, there is an overwhelming amount of toys and I could literally buy all of them. So I was perusing the walkers and found the greatest invention probably ever created. Check it out!



She's not really being her normal, hyper self here so I'll update more videos at another time. She LOVES this thing though and it wears her out which is always nice at the end of the day.

since cara was born it's been a hassle to burp her..she likes to harbor them for some reason UNTIL i start video taping her. take a look.

4.5 months and growing..

when i brought cara home from the hospital, i kept telling myself, this must be a dream. there was no way i was the mother for this beautiful little creature. while i was pregnant i spent the entire 9 months dreading the labor. i read up on every scenario possible and scared myself daily, thinking about the labor. but i never thought past delivery. i imagined what she would look like the moment i saw her, but i never thought past leaving the hospital. i assumed since i helped watch cali when she was young, i knew what to do with babies. i couldn't have been more wrong. i remember the doctor handing cara off to chris, for him to hold her for the first time and he asks "how do i hold her?". i laughed at the time, but honestly, i had no idea how to hold a new born baby. and now 4 and half months later, i am in wonderment. how did we get this far? we brought her home and both looked at eachother like "what the heck do we do with this thing?". and every time i start feeling like an old pro, cara reminds me, I'M NOT. they start growing so fast and learning new things daily. she is currently around 26 inches long and almost 15 lbs. she's doubled in weight since birth and fits in boy clothes better than girls cause of her height..which makes complete sense, seeing as i'm so tall. her blue eyes are still blue and gorgeous at that. she's in a lull from teething, which started at 3 months. we are learning that cara likes to do things early. she's started pulling up her knees when playing on her tummy but isn't quite strong enough to hold her upper body up, so for now, she's not going to far. she LOVES playing with her little friends on her carseat, her doggy, her new blocks from Karen, her monkey rings and her octopus. i'm gonna get her a walker soon so she can explore more. she's already curious of the world and i can't wait to see her grow!

so clearly i'm a proud mommy, but i know i'm prob biased when i say "i have the cutest baby ever!". so there's this website, cafemom.com, that i joined when i was pregnant and they have a group on there with photo contests. these are just fun photo contests where really you're just showing off your child's cute and quirky faces. so i join this group cause i like showing off my baby, and i enter her into a daily photo contest and wouldn't you know, SHE WON IT! so maybe the world agrees with me, or maybe just 50 moms do, but whatever, i'm a proud momma! here's the link, you may not get to see it if you're not a member, but if you're a mommy JOIN..it's fun.
