First Haircut!

We really didn't take that much off, cause she was unfortunately blessed with my hair, but we took of the rat tail in the back!! Now I have a curly lock for the baby book, and Cara won't be a redneck anymore.

Lake Cumberland

We've been back from vacation for over a week now, but I sure do wish we were still there! We had such a nice week with all of the family! I just read Megan's post (which reminded me to update mine) and I would have to agree..I still feel that feeling I used to as a kid when I didn't want to leave Cincinnati. I too have learned not to cry, too hard.

Our trip was even better cause we got a WHOLE week with Chris! That's a rarity these days and I sure did LOVE it. The seafood buffett, not so much.

vacation..more like staycation!

Hey! So vacation has begun..but I wouldn't really call it that yet. Chris has had to finish a job in Alabama and it has been pretty uneventful for Cara and I. We were in the hotel most of the day yesterday. I used to like hotels but not really anymore. I have come to realize they offer NOTHING but a bed and tv! So today we are stuck in the hotel again, a different one (I feel like a rockstar) and we're a mile from the mall. One mile. With no car. I'm trying to figure out how we can arrange this, cause the mall would be SO fun right now. Okay so I will update when we get home from the lake. It will be my vacation post, and we can try and forget this whole hotel lock in!

Bored and More Bored

preparing for vacation!

Hey hey! So we are less than a week from being on vacation! Couldn't be more excited. Cara is currently at the Dr. (i.e. 2nd home) with her Gigi ruling out an ear infection. She's been congested and coughing and I'm not taking her on vacation sick, so we are making sure she is good to. We also did some shopping this week for vacation items and found a pair of sunglasses. Cara in the past has not been very good with sunglasses. She prefers snapping off the sides than wearing them. But yesterday, I had to actually put her sunglasses to sleep so she would pry them off for her own bedtime. I have now humanized a cartoon construction working doll and a pair of sunglasses. I am definetly broadening Cara's imagination! I took some pictures of her modeling them and wearing her new Handy Mandy bandaid. Thought it would give her a fun way to deal with all of her knee scrapes! Handy Mandy makes it all better!!

July 4th 2009!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend! Hope everyone got to enjoy their's as well! We became a little firwork crazy..saw them Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Thursday, Cara and I joined my Mom, Christina, Val, Cali, Mike, Matt and Ally for a Braves game. Cara did really well until the end which was wayyyy past her bedtime and I think I was just as tired and cranky as she was. She really liked the chik-fil-a cow and all the loud music. So we'll have to go again, but probably for a day game when it's not so hot outside :) Friday, Chris was home so the three of us went to Downtown Kennesaw and enjoyed their fireworks show. It was really great! The weather was perfect and Cara loved running around playing. The fireworks shockingly did not startle her too much. She actually towards the end grew bored with them and dived into the Doritos bag for some late night snacking. Sounds like my daughter! Saturday, we headed to see fireworks in Roswell with some great company and had a really nice evening. The fireworks were great and Cara enjoyed playing with all the kids. So I think we officially enjoyed as many fireworks as possible and Cara can now be considered a pro. As for baby # 2..there has been a lot of kicking in the last two days, so I think it's getting pretty excited to come out and meet all of us. I'm 25 weeks along, so we're getting closer, slowly but surely.
