Welcome Samantha Francis Kenny!

Hey! I currently have two sleeping babies and instead of sleeping myself, I decided to update my blog so I could introduce Sammy Kenny to the blog world! I have enjoyed so much looking back on Cara's early months, as has she, and can't wait to document Sammy's. I hope blogs save forever so I can show them this when they get old.

Samantha Francis Kenny was born on October 15, 2009 at 8:05 PM. I have an entire family of libras and will most likely mess up the dates of their births at some point or another. Samantha was 7 lb. 11 oz. and 21 inches. But when we went for her 3 day check up, she was 7 lb. 4 oz. and 19 3/4 inches. For the baby book we will just record what the hospital declared. Ounces shmounces. We did NOT have a name for our new baby, the moment she arrived, mainly because my husband isn't a "planner", but Samantha was a front runner and when we saw her, it fit. Francis is Chris' Dad's middle name and we both felt that would be a good name to keep in the family. "Sammy" is my doing..Cara just says it too cute! So I have my two little baby bears and couldn't be happier to be home with them.

Sammy is adjusting well to our family. She hasn't quite gotten used to the smooshing, poking and kissing of her big sister, but she will!

I have posted most every pic I have on facebook, but will post some here too! I need to get some videos goin.

Bungee Jumping

Fall is HERE!

This is my most favorite time of year! Going outside and feeling 70 degree weather just makes me happy!

Happy birthday to Chris and my Dad!!

Cara is going to be 2 in FIVE days!! This morning we called Daddy to sing Happy Birthday to him and when we hung up she said "Cara's birthday". I'd say she's a little bit excited about it. We are having a party at the park, and let's cross our fingers this rainy weather in GA will let up. Cara seems to be right on track for a two year old. She is forming sentences, sometimes 4 and 5 word sentences, and has even started to understand when I say "no" I mean "no". She now responds with "k" and most of the time continues what she's doing, but I'm excited she's acknowledging the word "no", it's progress. Her favorite programming is the good night show on Sprout, and she gets to watch a little before she heads to bed. We have submitted a birthday card that we're hoping they will put on the good night show on her birthday, so if you remember to catch Sprout that night, you might see little Cara bear. Cara is also slightly obsessed with Halloween. Probably a little of my doing, but it makes going to the store really exciting cause we get to go through the Halloween section. We went to a pumpkin festival this past weekend, that I have some pictures from. Cara also did some bungee jumping at the fair this past weekend that I'm going to try and post a video of. It is soooo funny to see!

As for baby #2, still hanging out! By hanging out I mean stuffed inside me, constantly trying to stretch and laying on my lower spine! I'm officially uncomfortably pregnant, but trying to enjoy my last couple of weeks of having one child. And a little bit of sleep. I'm down to weekly doctor appointments and not working anymore, so Cara gets to join me and listen to the baby's heart beat. She seems pretty excited about it..but we'll see when we bring that little bundle home. I think she will prove to be a great big sister though, I'm excited!

My Best Friend's Wedding!!

Hello! I know I haven't posted in a while and I apologize. Things got hectic in the last couple of weeks! September is one of my all time favorite months (October and December being my other two) and this September proves to be very eventful!!
1. Christina and Matt were married on the September 12th!
2. Paula and Perry will get married this coming weekend on September 19th!
3. All my favorite shows premiere this month!
4. Chris and I will have been married ONE WHOLE YEAR on September 27th!!!
5. Autumn begins September 22nd!

Love, LOVE September. It's been a wedding month and a very important wedding month at that. Christina and Matt's wedding was GORGEOUS. Everything went off without a hitch and Christina looked the happiest I may have ever seen her. Being apart of it all was so much fun and made me miss my own wedding! I will attach a couple of pictures from the weekend..the growing baby bumb I'm carrying and my cuteness little flower girl daughter, who did SO well walking down the aisle! We are looking forward to this weekend as well to watch Paula walk down the aisle!!

Baby stats:
Cara - Currently suffering from a viral infection that apparently everyone picked up from the wedding events of this past weekend. She's doing well, just running a fever, but should be feeling much better in the next couple of days. We just got her measurements at the doctor and she is getting so big. 35 inches tall and almost 29 lbs. People always go to grab bags when I'm carrying them, like "let me help you, you shouldn't be lugging all that". Take the 29 lb. kid, I'll carry the bags!!

Baby Bump - Got to hang out with baby bear # 2 last week. My mom joined me for a final sonogram to check the positioning of the baby. It is head down which is good and an estimated 5 1/2 lbs!! Looks like we're gonna have a big baby on our hands! The due date was moved up to 10/22 and I'm gonna go ahead and project that I will deliver about a week earlier. I have this feeling that this kid is getting pretty close to cooked! Not too much longer before we get to meet IT! So excited!!

First Haircut!

We really didn't take that much off, cause she was unfortunately blessed with my hair, but we took of the rat tail in the back!! Now I have a curly lock for the baby book, and Cara won't be a redneck anymore.

Lake Cumberland

We've been back from vacation for over a week now, but I sure do wish we were still there! We had such a nice week with all of the family! I just read Megan's post (which reminded me to update mine) and I would have to agree..I still feel that feeling I used to as a kid when I didn't want to leave Cincinnati. I too have learned not to cry, too hard.

Our trip was even better cause we got a WHOLE week with Chris! That's a rarity these days and I sure did LOVE it. The seafood buffett, not so much.

vacation..more like staycation!

Hey! So vacation has begun..but I wouldn't really call it that yet. Chris has had to finish a job in Alabama and it has been pretty uneventful for Cara and I. We were in the hotel most of the day yesterday. I used to like hotels but not really anymore. I have come to realize they offer NOTHING but a bed and tv! So today we are stuck in the hotel again, a different one (I feel like a rockstar) and we're a mile from the mall. One mile. With no car. I'm trying to figure out how we can arrange this, cause the mall would be SO fun right now. Okay so I will update when we get home from the lake. It will be my vacation post, and we can try and forget this whole hotel lock in!
