Thirty
I turned thirty this year. Thankfully with a wonderful family and group of friends, it was pain free. I will miss my twenties, more so for the memories. But I'm ready for my thirties and the new memories this decade will bring!
Easter - 2013
Another successful year of Easter Baskets for love! We had more hands this year, and I'm so delighted with the growth of the be4good project.
Our family had a wonderful Easter. This year was all about the hunts! We saw an Easter bunny sky dive and a helicopter drop thousands of eggs. My kids are no longer going to be excited with the conventional backyard hunt.
Luck of the Irish
This year we had a rather memorable St. Patrick's Day. Cara's class went all out with leprechaun shenanigans. After the kids awoke from their naps, they found the room in shambles; chairs upside down, glitter everywhere and candy and gold stuffed in their shoes. I'd like to extend a big thank you to the school for doing that, because glitter will never be sprinkled all over my floor! We also celebrated ourselves, with festive food and drinks and found it to be the perfect opportunity to release some lanterns I purchased on Amazon. If you've seen the movie Tangled you might be privy to the floating lights. Let me tell you what, there was nothing floating about these lights. They needed a lot, A LOT of encouragement to get up in the air. We are fortunate nobody's house was burned down in the process. Guess we had the luck of the Irish that night!
Bella's Birthday
In March we celebrated our neighbors 3rd birthday. She had a Tangled inspired party, and her mom Diana did a fantastic job decorating. The cake was awesome (which of course I don't have a picture of)! I'm hoping my girls forget about that element, because I'm no cake boss!
Trip to Cincy - 2013
I think, and I only think because my memory is failing me, that our surprise trip to Cincinnati was in February of this year. What I do remember is it snowed before we came and after, but not a flurry while I was there. I know those northerners dislike the white death, but I would have loved a good dusting. We didn't see a flurry stick this year!
Our trip was wonderful! We surprised Grandma after a month of her being in and out of the hospital with various issues. It was a wonderful weekend spent visiting with family. One night, we had a mini family reunion at Grandma's and if my memory serves me correctly, we had 10 of the 12 siblings there. I so adore having a big family! I'm very fortunate to be apart of the Sammons clan.
Valentine's Day 2013
Pictured above are the girls getting ready for their daddy daughter date night. This was year three for the Kenny clan.
They had a ball! And of course, looked top notch doing it. Only issue, Sam is NOT a fan of the cow.
A look back through the years...
My girls are pretty lucky! Valentine's Day is not my most favorite holiday, although I do love getting to spoil the girls. I think Chris has been out of town the last three years on the actual day, plus we all know its a Hallmark holiday, but I'm okay with celebrating love any day of the year!

January Challenge
30. down
I'm glad I emailed this the day I took it, because I almost forgot my idea for "down". When Cara was an infant, I pushed this little bunny/blanket thing on her so she'd have a "lovey". She didn't care. Round two, I don't have a memory of pushing the idea of a lovey on Sam, but turns out I didn't need to. She is 100% obsessed with her blanket. I'm thinking at first, I could give her any 3x3 pink blanket and she'd be fine. But no! She has picked a specific blankey and that's the only one she wants, ever, and all the time! It has to go in the car when we leave, the bed when we sleep, and half the time ends up on the kitchen floor when she's run off to do something. In hind sight, I probably didn't need to push the lovey.
31. yourself
I had Sam take a picture of me. My original plan was to take this really cute baby picture of me and Val, but then I thought, I don't have like any current pictures of myself. I mean, I know why I don't, but thinking about it, I want my kids to be able to look back and see their mom in pictures, so they won't ever forget me. I probably should start to dress up more...
