End of Pre-K

I'm still kind of dealing with Pre-K ending. We had such an awesome first year of school. The teachers were wonderful, the school was awesome and Cara grew so much in such a short period of time. That's probably the part I'm still dealing with. She's becoming less my baby, and more my big girl. I'm so proud of her though. Socially, she has bloomed. She made so many friends. We struggled at the beginning of the year with her being comfortable, and by the end she didn't want to leave.

Discovery Point made the last week super special. Cara's teachers always made things extra special for the kids, and out did themselves for the end of the year. They had a water day with a blow up slide, a movie and PJ day, an electronic day where I begrudgingly allowed my 5 year old to take my iPad to school, and an end of the year party. On top of that, they held a graduation ceremony, filled with music, laughs, and lots of mommy tears. The teachers made  us a DVD slide show full of pictures and videos through out the year. It is such a great keepsake!

Kindergarten or bust!

Ryan Graduates College!

That's right, the first Gale child to make it to the commencement ceremony. I am so proud of my little brother! He will do wonderful things.

It was an exciting weekend in May! Val surprised everyone with her and Luke's presence. Patty and Nancy visited from Cincy. We went to Chuck E. Cheese. We had a big party at my mom to celebrate my bro's achievements. It was an awesome weekend!

Sunny Days

Spring is here! As always, GA has dealt with the yellow blanket and rising temps. But I will say, I'm glad it's sandal season. The girls are embracing the sunny days!

Mother's Day 2013

Mother's Day was wonderful as always. I got spoiled by my babies and am fortunate enough to still get to spend the day with my mom. Mom's make the world go round!

Butterfly Release Party

At school, Cara learned about the stages of a butterfly. Even better, they watched the stages unfold in the classroom using a butterfly kit. Since I didn't learn the stages all I can tell you is they got some caterpillars into a chrysalis stage and then somehow they turned into butterflies. I've been so impressed with Cara's first year of school and all that she's learned. We have had such a great experience thus far!

Luke turns ONE

I headed to Denver at the end of April to celebrate Lukey's first birthday. I love Denver. Mike and Val live in this awesome planned community, full of parks and families. The weather was perfect, and the company was even better. We even made a little time to celebrate my birthday at the casino. Unfortunately, we all still have to go to work!

Baby Kate

Miss Kathleen Rae Klejka, arrived on April 17, 2013. Exactly one week after my 30th. It is very suiting that the only person named after me also shares my birth month. I can already foreshadow that baby Kate will have the same love as I do for our birth stone, diamonds.

She came early in the day, healthy and happy! Matty has been such a sweet big brother. I'm so happy for my best friend! She has a beautiful family of four.
