Great Grandparents and Big Girl Beds

Happy Summer! Atlanta has been a little premature on the summer heat, and it's only getting hotter. Last night I think it actually got hotter as the sun set.

Happy belated Father's Day as well. I am proud to say that I get to enjoy some great dad's! Cara would say the same thing, if she could articulate her words better. We had a lovely meeting at the Atlanta Airport with Grandma and Grandpa Gale during their layover back from Mexico. Father's day was low key and that's the way Chris wanted it, so I think he was pleased to have a relaxing day at home.

And I have pictures, YAY, documenting our weekend. And also a couple pictures of Cara sleeping in her big girl bed. I took one from the doorway so you could see how little she looked in a big girl bed. I'm not sure I'm okay with all the growing up she's doin!

Enjoy!

toddler's rules...

I wanted to put up a poem Grandma Paula sent me the other day. It defines the very state of being that Cara is in. Enjoy!

TODDLER’S RULES
1- If I want it, it's mine
2- If it's in my hand, it's mine
3- If I can take it away from
you, it's mine
4- If I had it a little while ago, it's mine
5- If it's mine, it must never appear
to be yours in any way
6- If we are building something together,
all the pieces are mine
7- If it just looks like mine, it's mine
8- If I think it's mine, it's mine
9- If I give it to you and change
my mind later, it's mine
10- Once it's mine it will never belong
to anyone else, no matter what

Summer Playdate

Cara and I joined Lyndsey, Mason and Zoe at their house for a playdate the other day. Mason is 9 months and Zoe is 3. Having those three ages together makes me tired to even think about right now. Cara had a blast though. In one of the pictures she may let on she's not having fun, but it's just that someone got on "her swing". We're working on not owning the entire world.

Enjoy!
