A Very, Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful Christmas this year! We all have been so blessed in so many ways!

Christmas Eve was spent with Chris' family. We had a wonderful afternoon and evening of visiting by the tree. Harry out did us all with the Dora power wheels for the girls. Cara keeps requesting the "pretend car". After a literal run-in with the tree Christmas Eve, we have kept the riding to outside. Had a wonderful time with everyone!

Christmas morning brought smiles to the girls faces when they were greeted with their gifts. Cara was glad Santa ate the cookies and drank all the milk! Santa even surprised Chris with a golf net in the living room. It was a wonderful morning followed by a day of great memories with family. We were even lucky enough to get our first white Christmas in Georgia.

God Blessed our family :)

Three year olds..

...have their own style! Didn't think we'd be arguing about what she should wear already! Fortunately for me, I get to take a half toddler/half ballerina to the store.

Home Depot Traditions

This is our fourth year together, Chris and I, and the fourth Christmas we've had living together. We went to Home Depot our first Christmas at the townhome, mainly because we went to a tree lot and we saw prices like $80 and quickly left. Ever since it's been our tradition, and this year the crowds came out as well. The last few years it would just be us milling through the trees..but apparently the word is out that they have good trees for good prices. They also set it up this year like a real tree lot and I snapped this photo of Chris and Cara on my phone. I'll update pics of my tree(s) later!

A Thankful Year...

The holiday season is among us and we couldn't be happier! This is the first year in our new house for the holiday's and I have been totally psyched to decorate. I may be a little overboard with the amount of trees, but the way I see it, the more rooms..the more trees! Plus, Cara and Sammy totally dig it.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Spent the morning at Paula and Perry's with them and Grandma Jo, Mal, Harry and Brett. Beautiful weather and wonderful food, we found ourselves on the back porch with full bellies and great company. So blessed to have so much family, so close. After rushing back to get a turkey in the oven, the Gale side came over to our house and we spent Thanksgiving dinner at home. After the last two years traveling afar, it was nice to be home. We had a cornhole tournament, watched football and ate a lot. Love, love spending quality time with my family (even if they are incredibly messy!).

Holiday events are in full swing, and this weekend we will head to the Kennesaw Christmas parade where we may just run into Santa. This is the first year where I think Cara may just be brave enough to sit on his lap. She already told me she's gonna ask for a "new kitchen, and everything!". Thankfully, the elf on the shelf is at our house and Cara's behavior has cut back on Santa bringing her everything, so I don't think she will have expectations for an entire toy store in the living room Christmas morning...which will save "Santa" some money. I'm getting pretty excited to spend Christmas morning in the new house. Can't wait to capture the pictures of them finding their gifts.

Happy Holiday's to everyone!
