she already loves herself..

Cara has started to explore everything she can reach (and sometimes things she can't) which has forced me to re-baby proof parts of the house. I had thought I baby proofed well, but realized very quickly that I'm easily outsmarted by a baby. So Cara's exploring her room and finds the photo boxes that made the cutest shabby chic decorations. I like to let her explore so I usually don't intervene until something starts to look potentially dangerous. Well as I'm watching her, she breaks into the photo box and starts to rummage through photographs. She finds a picture of herself that she particularly loved which inspired this post. I had to show everyone how Cara reacts to seeing her own baby picture. She's madly in love with herself, borderline obsessed. She would carry the thing around with her all day, except I'm more or less paranoid she's gonna paper cut her mouth, so I'm forced to take it back. Which leads to the second video in the posting. You'll see what I'm talking about, just watch the videos. Enjoy!

Pool Days

Summer is almost here, but in Georgia it feels like it's been here. And since Cara has started to enjoy water, I decided to take her out to the pool..she LOVED it.

Pictures are attached, for proof.

June Playdate

Well, Cara had her first playdate this month. Really it was her first interaction with other "little people" like herself. And surprisingly, she wasn't the biggest one there. Apparently kids are bigger these days. I swear everyone I talk to has a kid who is in the 90th percentile. I guess all the midget babies live elsewhere. I've posted a couple photos and when I get my camera back, I will post a couple videos. We tried to get a group shot of the kids, and since Cara was the only one who could crawl, we tried to secure her in the middle. Needless to say, it was still a challenge to keep her there. I think she had fun though, I know I sure did!!

Enjoy.

splish, splash

We're approaching 8 months old...wow. They just start growing up so fast. Cara may have said her first official word..although we may never know for sure, if she really knew what it meant. When pulling up on things she says "up, up, up" over and over..so I have convinced myself my almost 8 month old daughter knows the word up, when all the other kids are stuck on "daaa" or "gaaa". She's a genuis..no big deal. I have two videos, one showing her saying "up", even though it's not the best one I could have gotten..but she tends to get camera shy, so it's the best I have for now. And my second one shows Cara LOVING bath time, which is a new concept, considering she use to freeze up the moment the bath water would run. Excuse the naked baby, there's no other way I could really shoot her in the bath..lol.

Enjoy!
